THE BRONX — A man wrestled a woman to the ground and removed her shoes to smell her feet in the first of his two sexual assaults in The Bronx Friday night, cops said.

The man first choked an 18-year-old girl from behind near Sedgwick and Bailey avenues about 1:10 a.m., according to the NYPD.

He then removed her shoes and smelled her feet, but feld after she stood up, cops said.

About 20 minutes later, he choked another woman from behind and wrestled her to the ground before trying to open her pants, police said.

The 24-year-old woman resisted and the suspect fled, cops said.

Neither woman appeared to be injured in the attacks, police added.

Cops described the suspect as about 30 years old, standing 5-foot-8 and weighing 230 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
