QUEENS — Service on the 7 train has resumed after earlier switch problems served up a headache for commuters and tennis fans traveling to US Open Tuesday morning, officials said.

The 7 train was running again between Willets Point and Main Street station as of just before 11:30 a.m., but there were still expected to be residual delays, according to the MTA.

An estimated 700,000 people attend the yearly tennis event, and many pack the 7 train to Willets Point.

Straphanger Stuart Tracte wrote on Twitter, “Been on the 7 train for 2 hours now. Will I ever get to Flushing Meadows?”

Tracte said he and other tennis fans were taken off the train had to walk three stops to the Billie Jean King Tennis Center.
