PROSPECT HEIGHTS — The bike parking was moved out so Lady Gaga could move in.

Preparations started this week for MTV's Video Music Awards show at the Barclays Center, where dozens of music world celebs are expected to converge on Aug. 25.

Hundreds of bike parking spots were removed temporarily from outside the arena and a press credentialing area was set up Tuesday.

MTV is expected to close nearby blocks to traffic in the run-up to the show and set up a red carpet area for celebrity arrivals outside the arena.

Neighbors have been frustrated by a lack of information from MTV about exactly how the internationally televised show will impact their neighborhood.

At a Monday night meeting about the show, Barclays Center representative told neighbors that the red carpet portion of the broadcast will produce "concert-loud" noise, according to watchdog blog Atlantic Yards Report.

Lady Gaga will open the Video Music Awards show and Robin Thicke, whose song "Blurred Lines"  has been burning up the radio this summer, is scheduled to perform.
