EAST FLATBUSH — A motorcyclist crashed into a parked car on Friday afternoon and died soon after, police said.
Denzel Lionel, 22, who lived in East Flatbush, was driving his motorcycle northbound along East 91st Street near Ditmars Avenue when he smashed into an unoccupied parked Mercedes Benz around 5:05 p.m., police said.
Police arrived to find pieces of his 2007 Honda CVR scattered all over the roadway, cops said.
Lionel was rushed to Brookdale Hospital but declared dead on arrival, police said. It was unclear if the driver's actions caused the accident, or if the vehicle was in any way responsible, police said Saturday.
An investigation was ongoing.
