OZONE PARK — Port Authority police arrested a shirtless man trying to sneak into a secure area at JFK Airport Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Faud Jalal Jaber, 50, tried to use a dump truck entering a security checkpoint for cover to slip into a closed-off area of Terminal 3, which is under construction and not currently being used, but is a secure area, said PA spokesman Joseph Pantangelo.

A Delta security guard tending to the dump truck noticed Jaber and stopped him. The guard then alerted two Port Authority police officers, who then arrested him, Pantangelo said.

Jaber, who has an American passport, is currently undergoing a psychiatric evaluation.

A man with the same name flew from Jordan to New York on Tuesday and became unruly on the flight, according to Pantangelo. He would not confirm it was the same Faud Jalal Jaber. Royal Jordanian air marshals restrained him, and he was issued a summons for causing the disturbance.

Jaber may be charged with criminal trespass pending his evaluation.

It was not immediately clear if Jaber is an American or Jordanian citizen.

Terminal 3 will be used by Delta when it reopens.
