CLIFTON — A man and woman were hit with a spray of bullets early Sunday morning at a Park Hill Avenue home in Staten Island, police said.

The man, 22-year-old Victorious Briggs, of Stapleton, was shot several times at 4:34 a.m., and the woman, 26, was shot twice in the right and left hip area, cops said.

They both were rushed to Staten Island Hospital, where Briggs was declared dead on arrival. Police said the woman remains in stable condition, and no arrests had been made immediately.

According to the Staten Island Advance, a witness said a barbecue had been taking place at 225 Park Hill Ave. when 15 or 16 shots rang out.

Police said an investigation is ongoing.
