COBBLE HILL — Fire up the grill!

Just in time for the summer barbeque season, Della Pietra's, a dry-aged prime meat shop, is opening its doors on Atlantic Avenue, selling a range of specialty products at the meat market.

"We're bringing all the finest quality meat," said Robert Della Pietra, owner of the store.

The shop will be specializing in their beef products, like full-bone rib steak, New York strip and filet mignon, which will be dry-aged for four-to-six weeks in a window-display aging room, said Della Pietra.

All-natural poultry, American lamb and veal products will also be sold, as well as Berkshire pork from the "Kurobuta black hog," he said.

The store's first location, opening later this month at 193 Atlantic Ave., will also serve gourmet produce to the neighborhood, like artisan bread, steak seasoning, marinades, cheese and balsamic vinegars and olive oils, aged in the store.

And if grilling isn't your forte, Della Pietra's is serving cooked dishes using their products, like home-style stews and roast chicken, the owner said.

Della Pietra's will also sell "butchering apparatus for the at-home butchers," according to the website.

While their meat will be more expensive than other local stores, "it's going to be better than restaurant quality," said the butcher added.

There are only a few specialty meat shops on the east coast, said Della Pietro, "and now Brooklyn's going to have one on Atlantic Avenue."
