TRIBECA — Stuyvesant High School was evacuated Tuesday, the day of New York City's English Regents exam, when someone called in an anonymous bomb threat, the Department of Education said.

Students and staff stood on the sidewalk while police combed the campus, according to a Department of Education spokeswoman.

Everyone was allowed back inside about 9:15 a.m., the spokeswoman added.

School administrators declined to comment. The DoE said the Regents exams went on as scheduled.
