RICHMOND HILL — A 21-year-old man who flagged down cops early Sunday and told them he had been stabbed has died, police said.

Stephen James approached police officers while clutching his stomach at the intersection of 123rd Street and Liberty Avenue about 3:50 a.m., according to the NYPD.

He was taken to Jamaica Hospital, and was initially listed in stable condition with a non-life-threatening injury, but he was pronounced dead Monday about 7:46 a.m., police said.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death, cops added.
