By Aidan Gardiner | April 23, 2013 8:45am | Updated on April 25, 2013 8:01am

BRONX — A 17-year-old boy died Monday night after he was shot in the chest in front of a Fox Street apartment building, cops said.

Alphonza Bryant was shot in the chest about 8:15 p.m. while standing in front of 1159 Fox St., near Home Street, according to the NYPD.

The boy was rushed to Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The two men suspected in the shooting passed Bryant before doubling back a short while later to gun him down, cops said Thursday.

Police said Tuesday that Bryant may have gotten into an argument with the men, but their investigation is continuing.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
