BOERUM HILL — A 13-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle near his Brooklyn middle school Monday afternoon and suffered injuries to his leg, officials said.

The boy, a student at Math & Science Exploratory School at 345 Dean St., had darted out between a bus and a car at Pacific Street and Fourth Avenue when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle, according to the FDNY and a spokeswoman for the Department of Education.

He was taken to the Brooklyn Hospital Center, according to the DOE spokeswoman. His condition was not immediately known.

The school did not respond to requests for comment.
