Man Tries to Lure Teenage Girls Into Vehicle in Queens, Cops Say

By DNAinfo Staff on January 28, 2013 9:20am

QUEENS — A motorist tried to lure a 14-year-old girl into his Cadillac Escalade in Flushing Friday, marking the second time that day the suspect attempted to bait a teenager into his vehicle, police said.

The man was driving along Northern and Parsons boulevards about 8 p.m. when he tried to get the victim to approach the Escalade, according to the NYPD.

She refused, but the suspect continued to follow her, officials said. She later ducked the vehicle and fled, police said.

Earlier that day in Corona, a 13-year-old girl was approached by the same Cadillac Escalade at Northern Boulevard and 102nd Street, cops said.

The suspect tried to make small talk with the girl. When she ignored his advances, he jumped out of the vehicle and tried to grab her by the arm, police said.

The victim managed to pull away and fled, police said.

Now cops are asking for the public's help in trying to track down the suspect. He is described as being between 30 and 35 years old and weighing about 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, dark pants and a blue collared shirt, officials say.
