INWOOD — A teenage woman was stabbed to death Monday afternoon outside a Thayer Street building by an ex-boyfriend who then turned the knife on himself, authorities and family said

Edith Rojas, 19, was fatally stabbed by the 21-year-old man about 3:47 p.m. in front of 75 Thayer St. between Broadway and Sherman Avenue, the NYPD said.

She was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital and pronounced dead, police added.

The attacker, who family described as an ex-boyfriend who Rojas had broken up with, fled to Fort Tryon Park after the incident and stabbed himself before police apprehended him in Anne Loftus Playground, cops said. He was in critical condition at St. Luke's Hospital, police said.

The identity of the stabber was not immediately known, police added.

A man who identified himself as the Rojas's brother and shares an apartment with her said he heard a commotion and ran inside the building to find his stepfather cradling her body.

"There was a blood all over her," said Ronny Peralta, 27. He said the man was an ex-boyfriend of his sister's and that the alleged stabber had been following her around before confronting the teen outside the building.

"We're just trying to get ourselves back together."
