Staten Island Man Stabbed to Death in His Home, Police Say

SUNNYSIDE — A 39-year-old Staten Island man was fatally stabbed in his home early Monday morning, police said.

Police responding to a 911 call about 6:45 a.m. found Henry Raftrey inside his home at 1131 Victory Boulevard with a knife wound in his stomach, police said.

Raftrey was rushed to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, officials said. 

Police arrested James Parker, 59, of Starlight, Pa. and charged him with murder, police said. Parker is Raftrey's girlfriend's father, the Staten Island Advance reported.

The police investigation was ongoing Monday evening.
