Teenager Arrested for Fatally Shooting Man in the Rockaways, Police Say

THE ROCKAWAYS — A teenager was arrested Thursday for fatally shooting a 28-year-old man in the Rockaways earlier this week, according to the NYPD.

Barshem Sanford, 17, was taken into custody for shooting Davis Devon, 28, in the 6th floor hallway of 146 Beach 59th St. Wednesday, authorities said.

Devon, who lived in the building, was already dead when emergency responders arrived, officials said.

Sanford has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
