New Family-Friendly Condos For Sale in Park Slope

By Leslie Albrecht | November 14, 2012 9:26am

PARK SLOPE — Sales are under way at one of Park Slope's few new residential developments — and families are sure to line up for the apartments.

The new development, called Park Union, is a seven-story building at 910 Union St., between Eighth Avenue and Grand Army Plaza. Of the 15 apartments, 11 are three-bedroom, two are two-bedroom, and two are one-bedroom. Asking prices range from $799,000 to $2,295,000. Sizes range from 735 to 1,905 square feet.

Amenities include a roof terrace, a children's play room, bike storage, walk-in showers in master bathrooms, and kitchens equipped with 18-bottle wine coolers. Most of the units have outdoor space with views of Grand Army Plaza.

But another key selling point is the building's location inside the zone for popular P.S. 321 on Seventh Avenue and First Street. The northern edge of the school's zone currently includes Union Street between Sixth Avenue and Grand Army Plaza, however that could change because the Department of Education recently announced plans to shrink P.S. 321's zone.

The building, once home to the Cathedral School of Brooklyn, was built as a two-story structure in 1914. Developers American Development Group added five additional stories and revamped the interior into 15 residences with "luxurious prewar-inspired finishes," according to the development's website.
