SUNSET PARK — A man was struck and killed by a vehicle on Fourth Avenue early Friday, authorities said.

The circumstances of the accident were not immediately clear, officials said, but victim was hit at 56th Street about 6:30 a.m.

The man, who was not identified, was taken to Lutheran Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, an NYPD spokesman said. 

The NYPD is investigating the circumstances of the accident.
