MANHATTAN — A 44-year-old woman was struck and killed on the Harlem River Drive in East Harlem Monday night, the NYPD said.

The accident occurred near East 131st Street about 9 p.m. when a Toyota Sienna struck the woman in the southbound lanes. She had been walking across the highway toward the river, police said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Cops said the incident appeared to be accidental and did not charge anyone.

Officers shut down all southbound lanes of traffic on the highway.

The NYPD said it will not release the woman's name until her relatives are notified of her death.
