Man Shot in Front of Bronx Building

SOUNDVIEW — A 30-year-old man was shot to death outside his Bronx building Saturday morning, police said.

Yusef Middleton, of 1030 Boynton Ave., was found in front of the building on September 1 at 1:25 a.m., with one gunshot wound in his chest. Middleton was rushed to Jacobi Hospital, but declared dead on arrival.

Police arrested Osmond Smith, 42, also of Soundview, on Saturday, and charged him with murder in the second degree, manslaughter, and possession of a weapon, police said.

Police said an investigation is ongoing.
