Action Burger to Give Superhero Fanatics Restaurant Refuge

By Meredith Hoffman | August 30, 2012 8:20am

WILLIAMSBURG — Tired of playing video games and poring over comics alone with lukewarm takeout dinners in your apartment? Action Burger is coming to the rescue.

The fast food-superhero oasis plans to open its doors on Graham Avenue this fall for visitors to venture through their imaginations and tastebuds as they gobble down sandwiches and to discuss their favorite caped characters, according to its website.

"Action Burger will be a place to eat, talk about/debate comics or superheroes, play video games and watch superhero movies," the joint's Facebook page says.

And in keeping with its other-worldly theme, the eatery is partnering with the science fiction series "BIAlien," about a man who is "abducted by benevolent aliens, bio-engineered to a superhuman level and sent back to Earth years later to stop an alien invasion," the book's website notes.

"Getting people to read and eat healthy is one of our priorities," Action Burger's site says.

The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner on 292 Graham Ave.
