HOLLIS — An SUV crashed into a Queens building on Monday, leaving a gaping hole and sending the driver to the hospital, the FDNY said.

The green SUV smashed into a warehouse behind Fred Stark Realty on Jamaica and Carpenter avenues about 2:30 p.m. The driver was taken by ambulance to Queens Hospital Center with minor injuries, the FDNY said. Another person at the scene refused medical attention. No other injuries were reported.

"I heard him jump the curb and then screech! Boom!," said Jimmy Lansis, who works at a nearby grocery store. "I'm surprised he didn't kill anybody."

Details on what caused the crash weren't immediately available.
