NEW YORK CITY — Who needs "Fifty Shades of Grey"?

As part of an adults-only giveaway being staged across Manhattan over the next two days, condom company Trojan plans to hand out 10,000 free vibrators from its self-styled "hot dog carts" stationed around the borough Wednesday and Thursday.

"Attention New York City! A sensual heat wave alert has been issued for all pleasure seekers!" read a message on the brand's Facebook page.

The company will give out two types of toys to willing women and their adventurous mates — the "Vibrating Tri-Phoria" and "Vibrating Pulse intimate massager" — but only "while supplies last."

The "Pleasure Carts" will be at mulitple locations Wednesday, including Fifth Avenue between 23rd and 22nd streets, and Pearl and Broad streets, starting at 4 p.m., as well as 14th Street and 10th Avenue, and Third Avenue between 12th and 14th streets, at 7 p.m.

On Thursday, the carts will be at 17th Street and Broadway, and Lafayatte Street between Broome and Spring streets, starting at 4 p.m., as well as Third Avenue between 33rd and 38th streets, and again at 14th Street and 10th Avenue, at 7 p.m.

Besides being the largest city and media market in the country, Torjan may have had another reason for choosing Gotham for the naughty giveaway.

"The geography of American sexuality points to a decidedly northeasterly trend in sexual frequency," according to a Trojan survey conducted in June 2011, which showed people in the Northeast have sex on average 2.5 times per week, "more sex than any other U.S. region."
