Man Seriously Injured in Grand Concourse Fire

A man was serious condition after a fire Tuesday in a Grand Concourse apartment, fire officials said

CONCOURSE —  A man was rushed to the hospital in serious condition after a fire broke out Tuesday on the top floor of a six-story apartment building on the Grand Concourse, fire officials said.

Firefighters were on the scene at 1043 Grand Concourse, near East 170th Street, four minutes after receiving the 4:30 p.m. call, FDNY officials said.

The fire was out half an hour a later, but one man was seriously injured in the blaze.

He was taken to Jacaobi Hospital, officials said.

The fire was under investigation, according to the FDNY.
