Construction Worker Injured by Jackhammer on UES

UPPER EAST SIDE — A construction worker was seriously injured on Tuesday afternoon when a jackhammer fell on his feet, FDNY officials said.

The accident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. at a 206 E. 61st St., which is a landmark townhouse currently being converted from a multi-family dwelling to a single-family residence, according to Department of Building records.

The man was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, FDNY officials said.
