Firefighters Respond to 'Smoke Condition' at World Trade Center

MANHATTAN — Firefighters responded to a call of a "smoke condition" at 1 World Trade Center Monday afternoon, FDNY officials said.

More than 60 firefighters responded to the 2:55 p.m. call and were checking the building — already the city's tallest — which is under construction, officials said.
