Police Searching for Man who Robbed a Bank in Melrose

Police are searching for a man wanted for robbing a Mott Haven bank.

THE BRONX — Police are hunting for a man who robbed an Emigrant Savings Bank in Melrose last month.

On June 19 around 12:30 p.m., the suspect, described as a male about 6 feet tall and around 220 pounds, walked into the bank at 370 E. 149th St., and handed the teller a note demanding money. The teller complied, and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Cops said the thief was wearing a red and black striped long-sleeved shirt, dark pants, dark shoes, a dark baseball hat and a black backpack.
