PROSPECT HEIGHTS — Friday the 13th could be a lucky day for Jay-Z fans — that's when tickets go on sale for not one, but three, Jay-Z shows at the Barclays Center this fall.

The hip-hop superstar had already planned to open the new arena with a Sept. 28 concert, but announced Monday that he's added two other shows, on Sept. 29 and Sept. 30, arena officials said.

Tickets for the shows go on sale on Friday, July 13 at 10 a.m. and will be available for purchase at Ticketmaster.com. American Express credit card holders will get early access to tickets on Wednesday, July 11 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Brooklyn Nets season ticket holders can also buy tickets before the general public, and so can members of the Barclays Center "behind-the-scenes" mailing list, which is free to join.

Ticket prices haven't been released yet, but Barclays Center officials said Monday that more than 7,000 tickets will be under $30.

The 18,000-seat Barclays Center is now under construction and is scheduled to open in September with the Jay-Z concerts. The Brooklyn-born entertainment mogul is intimately involved with the new arena. Jay-Z is a part owner of the NBA's Brooklyn Nets, which will be headquartered at the Barclays Center, and he also sits on the arena's board of directors. His high-end sports bar and restaurant, the 40/40 Club, will open a Brooklyn location at the Barclays Center.
