Three Dead in Queens Triple Shooting

By Jess Wisloski | July 7, 2012 11:18am | Updated on July 7, 2012 4:01pm

SPRINGFIELD GARDENS — Three men were found shot to death, with two of them sitting inside a double-parked SUV, on a Queens block early Saturday morning, police said.

Two men were found riddled with bullets inside the front seats of a Jeep Grand Cherokee at 5:06 a.m. Saturday morning, police said when they responded to a 911 call of shots fired.

The Jeep was double-parked alongside other cars on 144th Avenue near 185th Street in Queens, and behind the vehicle, near the passengers-side rear door, another unidentified man was found, also with multiple gunshot wounds to the body, police said.

Marvin Brown, 35, a construction worker who said he's lived in the residential neighborhood his whole life, said such occurrance were uncommon in the area.

"This neighborhood is quiet," said Brown. "This is a drive-by I think. It could happen on any street. I guarantee they don't live around here."

All three men were pronounced dead at the scene, and no identities have been released, pending family notifications.

No arrests were made, and police said an investigation was ongoing.
