Police Searching for N Train Sexual Assault Suspect

A mohawk-sporting man is suspected of a sexual assault involving a 15-year-old, on May 31, 2012.

BROOKLYN — Police are looking for the public's assistance in tracking down a man suspected of a sexual assault inside a subway station in Borough Park.

The incident occurred at the Fort Hamilton Parkway N train station, when police said the suspect, a male aged 20 to 25, approached a teenage girl from behind on May 31 at 5 p.m.

According to police, the man came up behind the girl, 15, and sexually assaulted her.

Police said the suspect was wearing a mohawk style haircut, and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with white and grey lettering, white-and-dark colored striped shorts, and black sneakers.

Anyone with information regarding the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
