Man Stabbed to Death in East Village, Police Say

EAST VILLAGE — A 31-year-old man was found stabbed and dying early Saturday morning in Manhattan. 

Rescuers responded to a call of a man stabbed at 737 East 5th St. at 3 a.m., and when they arrived, found the man unconscious and unresponsive in front of the residential building, police said.

The man was transported immediately to Beth Israel Hospital, where he was determined dead on arrival. Police identified the man as Corey Capers, 31, of Manhattan, on Saturday evening.

Police said an investigation is ongoing.
