Man's Body Found Along Brooklyn Heights Bank of East River

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — A man's body was spotted floating in the East River Saturday morning, according to police, who had received calls from Brooklyn residents. 

Rescuers responded to the calls at 8:55 a.m. on Saturday, and harbor crews from the NYPD recovered a body along the shoreline at Furman Street in the vicinity Cranberry Street, in Brooklyn Heights.

EMS responders at the scene attempted to resuscitate the man, who police said was in his 30s, but pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Police said it was unclear what led to the man's death, but said an investigation was ongoing.
