MANHATTAN — A West Village boutique owner whose baubles have been worn by celebs including Kim Kardashian is facing misdemeanor assault charges after allegedly beating a man with an umbrella in a fight over a parking space, police sources said.
Dawnella Joie Jager, 42, the owner of Soixante Neuf Jewels, was allegedly trying to pull into a parking space in front of 108 Christopher St. at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday when a 29-year-old man tried to back into the same space, sources said.
Jager allegedly leaped out of her car in a rage, opened the door of the man's car and smacked him with an umbrella, leaving him with cuts on his hands and arms, sources said.
Jager, who describes herself on her Facebook page as a fan of "unicorns, rainbows, puppies and kittens," was awaiting arraignment Friday at Manhattan Criminal Court under the name Dawnelle Yager, sources said.
She faces charges of misdemeanor assault and attempted assault and a violation for harassment, according to court records.
She was arrested at Soixante Neuf at 225 W. 10th St., which sells her line of "unique, feminine, bold, yet delicate" jewelry, as well as her sandal and handbag designs. Among her clients are actress Heather Graham and High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens, according to her website.
An employee who answered the phone Thursday declined to comment.
Jager, a former actor originally from Los Angeles, described herself on her Facebook page as a "quintessential taco and beach-loving free-spirited California girl living (and freezing my ass off) in NYC."
In the "political views" section of her profile, Jager called for mutual understanding.
"Can't we all just get along?" she wrote.
