FDNY Battles Blaze at Chelsea Chinese Restaurant

CHELSEA — Dozens of firefighters battled a duct fire at a Chinese restaurant in Chelsea late Thursday morning.

No injuries were reported, FDNY officials said.

The fire was reported at 11:21 a.m. at Legend Restaurant, located in a six-story building at 88 7th Ave., according to the FDNY. Sixty firefighters rushed to the scene.

Personnel from four fire companies brought the blaze under control at 11:52 a.m.
