Police Car Crash in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN — Two cars — including a police car — got into a crash in Prospect Lefferts Gardens Friday night, NYPD and FDNY officials said.

The crash occurred just before 8 p.m. on Bedford Avenue and Midwood Street, FDNY officials said.  Three people were injured and taken to Kings County Hospital.

Two police officers had to be cut out of the cop car, according to witnesses.

NYPD officials said the neck and back injuries the victims suffered were not serious.

The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.

Police said no criminality was suspected.
