BROOKLYN — A cook in a Bedford-Stuyvesant school was seriously burned on Tuesday, fire officials said.

The unidentified man suffered burns to his face and arms just after 7:30 a.m. at P.S. 44 Marcus Garvey School, 432 Monroe St., FDNY officials said.

It was unclear how the man was burned, a fire spokesman said.

He was taken to New York Downtown Hospital in Manhattan, fire officials said.

Officials with the Department of Education could not be immediately reached Tuesday morning.
