Police Seek Teens Wanted for Beating Women in Downtown Brooklyn Robberies

BROOKLYN — Police are searching for a pack of teens suspected of pummeling two women in separate robberies in Downtown Brooklyn last week.

In the first incident, two teen boys came up from behind a 21-year-old woman on St. Edward's Street and punched her in the face and head before swiping her cell phone about 6:45 p.m. on Sun., Feb. 19, the NYPD said.

In the second incident, which occurred same day about two hours later, a 15-year-old girl and four teen boys approached a 41-year-old woman on Flatbush and Willoughby avenues, punched her in the face and demanded money before making off with a bag of groceries she was carrying, police said. The victim suffered a swollen eye and cuts to her face in the attack, police added.

Police described the three male suspects as a 15- to 18-year-old wearing a black bubble jacket and blue pants; a 12- to 13-year-old wearing a dark sweater, dark pants and black sneakers; and a 16- to 18-year-old wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, light-colored pants and a red baseball hat.

Police described the three female suspects as a 15-year-old with black hair wearing a black sweater; a 15-year-old wearing a black bubble jacket, dark pants and dark shoes; and a 13- to 15-year-old wearing a red or pink baseball hat, black jacket and red pants.
