East Village Burglar Stole $20,000 in Electronics and Jewels

MANHATTAN — Police are searching for a man who swiped as much as $20,000 in electronics and jewelry from an East Village apartment.

The thief broke into the apartment on Suffolk Street, near Stanton Street, around 1:45 p.m. on Feb. 10, cops said. He's described as 5-foot-9 and about 175 or 180 pounds. Police said the items stolen included computer equipment.
