BRONX — A mechanic suffered a serious leg injury Tuesday when a car fell on him in a Morris Heights auto repair shop, fire officials said.

The victim, 45, was working on a car at Rudy Lalo Original Corp. at 1932 Jerome Ave. just before 10 a.m. when the vehicle crashed down on his leg, FDNY officials said.

Paramedics rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital with serious trauma to the leg, fire officials said. His injuries weren't considered life-threatening.
