NYPD Releases Photo of Man Who Allegedly Snatched Wallet from UWS Church

Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a robbery inside an Upper West Side church

MANHATTAN — Police are hunting a man for allegedly snatching a wallet out of a woman’s purse inside an Upper West Side church.

The incident occurred about 10:30 a.m. at the United Church of Christ at 2504 Broadway, near W. 93rd St., on Jan. 23, police said.

The suspect was described as being about 25-years-old and wearing a dark-colored jacket with a hood and toggle-style buttons on the front.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
