BROOKLYN — A woman was found dead in a Prospect Heights apartment from stab wounds on Monday morning, according to NYPD officials.
The 43-year-old unidentified woman was found 487 St. Marks Ave. with stab wounds to her body and head about 11:05 a.m., police said.
She was pronounced dead at the four-story walk-up at 11:29 a.m., according to FDNY officials.
"She was a sweetheart," the woman's friend, Frieda Luckett, 48, said. "If you needed a couple of dollars and she had it, she'd give it."
"She was nice, no matter what," the woman's neighbor, Vanetta Washington, 46, said. "She was a good person, good at heart."
The NYPD said the investigation was ongoing.
