MANHATTAN — New York football fans may have another reason to celebrate this weekend — former Giants coach Bill Parcells and Jets running back Curtis Martin will find out Saturday if they've been selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Parcells, 70, who coached the Giants from 1983 to 1990 and led them to a pair of Super Bowl wins, also coached the Jets from 1997 to 1999.

Martin, 38, was Gang Green’s stalwart running back from 1997 until 2005, amassing more than 14,000 yards on the ground and 100 touchdowns during his career.

Martin was also finalist in 2011 but was not inducted.

Both Parcells and Martin were among 17 finalists for the prestigious pigskin honor.

The 2012 enshrinees will be announced at 5:30 p.m. Saturday on the NFL Network.
