BRONX — A man was arrested and charged with murder in the death of a 1-year-old boy in The Bronx earlier this week, police said.

Little Richard Fludd was found unconscious on the living room floor of his East 232nd Street apartment in the Wakefield section of The Bronx on Weds., Jan 25, police said.

Cops charged Fludd’s mom’s boyfriend, Reginald Smith, 24, with murder and assault in the incident.

The boy died as a result of blunt impact to his torso, including rib fractures and other internal injuries, the medical examiner said.

Police noted that the mother was not present at the time of the incident.

Fludd reportedly had previous injuries to his body, including burns, bruises and a cast on his leg.
