BROOKLYN — A fire in Brooklyn on Thursday has left one person dead, fire officials said.
Firefighters responded to the fire at the three-story building at 1498 Pacific St. about 1:20 p.m. and found the unidentified person inside the building, FDNY officials said.
The fire, on the third floor, was under control within 20 minutes, fire officials said.
It was unclear what sparked the single-alarm fire.
