MANHATTAN — The president of Penn State is coming to New York to discuss the way his school dealt with the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal.
Rodney Erickson will speak to city-based alumni at a town hall-style meeting Downtown on Friday.
Sandusky, who was the school's assistant football coach, was indicted in November on allegations of sex crimes against young boys. Penn State was criticized for allegations that several members of staff tried to cover up the alleged assaults.
The meeting will be held at the New York Marriott Downtown, on West Street. Alumni will have the chance to voice concerns over the handling of the case.
