Serial Harlem Burglary Suspect Hit 11 Buildings in Two Months, Cops Say

MANHATTAN — Police are searching for man accused of breaking into close to a dozen Harlem businesses over the past two months by breaking through walls and rooftops of buildings under renovation.

The suspect is being eyed in 15 separate burglaries — returning in some cases to the same locations twice — between Nov. 11 and Dec. 24, police said. Police said he entered the under-construction properties by breaking through roofs, walls, and rear windows and doors, then disabled the store’s surveillance systems and made off with stolen goods, the NYPD said.

The suspect targeted both 335 Lenox Ave. and 329 Lenox Ave. on multiple occasions, by entering through rear windows and roofs, police said.

He also hit several businesses on West 125th Street, breaking in through roofs and front and rear doors, the NYPD added.

The suspect is described as being between 25 and 30 years old, standing 5-foot-8 and weighing 145 pounds, police said.
