GRAMERCY — Four people were hurt Wednesday morning when a cab jumped a curb on Park Avenue South, slamming a man into the glass door of a hair salon, the FDNY and witnesses said.

The cab was traveling southbound on Park Avenue South when it careened onto the curb at approximately 9:45 a.m., striking a man and a woman in front of the salon Hair & Spa Party at 450 Park Avenue South, witnesses said.

"It was pretty scary," said Lawrence Sioco, who was working security at a nearby apartment building when he heard a loud bang.

He said he looked over and saw people laying injured, shattered glass, and a cab on the sidewalk.

Jack Kim, a receptionist at the Hair & Spa Party, a 24-hour salon, said the man was thrown into the shattered glass door.

Fire officials said three people were taken to Bellevue Hospital, two with serious injuries and one with lesser injuries. But the FDNY did not indicate which were the pedestrians and which was the driver. A fourth person was also hurt but refused help.

The driver was not issued any summonses, police said.
