Man Found Stabbed to Death in Washington Heights Updated December 7, 2011 9:40am

MANHATTAN — An East Harlem man was found stabbed to death in Washington Heights early Wednesday, police said.

The victim, Antoine Scott, 24, of East 111th Street, was discovered with stab wounds to his chest shortly before 2:30 a.m. at 450 W. 164th St., the NYPD said. He was taken to Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and pronounced dead, police said.

A 22-year-old woman was taken into custody by police at the scene and brought to the 33rd Precinct, the NYPD added. 

A woman at Scott's home, who said she was a relative but declined to give her name, said Tuesday, "He's a wonderful person. A lovely man."

The investigation is ongoing.
