MIDTOWN —Firefighters rescued three men and their dog from their fifth floor apartment after a fire broke out in a Midtown building Tuesday.

The men escaped the blaze, at 31 West 46th St., on an FDNY ladder. They said they'd been sleeping when the fire started.

The blaze, which started at 10.38 a.m., also caused neighboring buildings to be evacuated, an FDNY spokesman said.

Its cause is being investigated. The building houses 2 Bros Pizza and the Happy Valley Spa, along with the men's apartment.

Nobody was hurt in the fire, the spokesman said.

He said it was under control within an hour, when residents of undamaged buildings were able to return.
