Celebrities Make Waves at New York Fashion Week

MANHATTAN — As New York's Fashion Week draws to a close, the heavyweight designer's shows are drawing star-studded crowds to Lincoln Center.

Beyonce Knowles and sister Solange came for Rodarte on Tuesday, as did Vogue's Anna Wintour, who sat with singer Taylor Swift. Kim Kardashian, a regular feature this week, was backstage and front row at Vera Wang. Actresses Jessica Szohr and Ashlee Simpson were spotted at Herve Leger by Max Azria Tuesday, while Emma Roberts and Kelly Osbourne were at Marchesa.

Not to be outdone by the women, actor Gerard Butler made it for the Diesel Black Gold show, and Justin Timberlake was snapped at Oscar De La Renta's show at his new showroom at 11 West 42nd Street, Midtown.

Tennis star Serena Williams, fresh from her US Open title loss to Australian Samantha Stosur, was in the front row of Vera Wang's show Tuesday. She was seated just two seats from Vogue creative director Grace Coddington.

Former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright was also spotted at the Vera Wang show on Monday.

The Kardashian family had a strong showing early in the week, with Kim Kardashian spotted in a figure hugging beige knit long-sleeved dress heading into the Monday morning shows.

On Friday, Kim's husband Kris Humphries, the New Jersey Nets forward, attended Jill Stuart's Spring 2012 show. He was accompanied by Scott Disick, husband to another Kardashian, Kourtney.

Last Friday, former supermodel and "Project Runway" host Heidi Klum was hanging out on the catwalk.

"Glee" star Lea Michele wore a black top and black and white print skirt to the Jason Wu Fashion show at Center 548.

Jennifer Love Hewitt, star of "Ghost Whisper" wore a form-fitting orange dress to the "Project Runway" Spring 2012 fashion show.

Athletes were among the celebs, including NBA player Chris Bosh and his wife Adrienne Williams, who attended the General Idea Spring 2012 fashion show.  Also there, figure skater Johnny Weir.

Fashion's Night Out on Thursday September 8th kicked off Fashion Week, with Joe Jonas and Ne-Yo performing at Saks Fifth Avenue.
