WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — Police arrested a teen in connection with the weekend murder of 18-year-old Dereck Cabejas in Washington Heights on Saturday.
Alvin Diaz, 14, of the Bronx was apprehended and is being charged with second-degree murder, police said.
Cabejas was stabbed in the chest on the street at Audubon Avenue just north of 176th Street early Saturday morning, police said.
He was rushed to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
